JNU Entrance Exams Will Be Conducted Only When It Is Safe For Students To Take The Exam Vice Chancellor
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Vice-Chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar said on Wednesday that the university will conduct the JNU entrance exam only when the conditions are safe for the students. He said that if the admission is delayed due to Covid and the admission takes place at a later date, the university will definitely adjust its academic calendar without wasting any time.

Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam or JNUEE is conducted for admission to postgraduate and MPhil programs. Normally these entrance exams are conducted during May and June, this year the entrance exam has been delayed due to the corona pandemic.

The university has also stopped the registration process for admission in the winter semester. The registration for Winter Semester 2021 was scheduled to start from May 8 but has been postponed in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and the situation arising out of it.
National Testing Agency (NTA) will release JNU 2021 application form online mode. Though the JNUEE Application Form 2021 date is yet to be announced.

Vice-Chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar also welcomed the Centre’s decision to cancel the CBSE Board Class 12 examinations in view of the COVID-19 pandemic and said it was a “practical and rational” step. He said in a statement, “The decision taken with regard to the 12th examination is practical and rational considering the fact that this pandemic happens once in a century and the health and safety of the students is paramount.”
Along with this, the JNU VC further suggested that universities may devise appropriate procedures that are fair and transparent for admission to undergraduate courses on the basis of class 12th marks.
